Year 7 spend time in the great outdoors
As part of activities week, which takes place in the last week of the summer term, Year 7 had the opportunity to attend the outdoor activity residential. This year we went to the Lake District National Park, where over two days, pupils camped, canoed, climbed, hill walked, jumped, swam, and learned some bushcraft skills. Whilst all the activities were good challenges and fun, at the heart of such experiences is the goal for our pupils to develop as young people. The themes of this years residential were “Determination, Resilience & Independence”, which we know our pupils must develop to reach their full potential. There were lots of opportunities to test and further develop these attributes. We were incredibly pleased to see the pupils fully grasp these opportunities and have a great deal of fun while doing so!
