In year 7 there are many opportunities that can broaden your experience. Your tutor will share a timetable of extra-curricular activities that you might like to get involved in ranging from sports clubs to board games, reading skills to adventurous activities. Year 7 pupils may also have the chance to learn about futures through workshops led by local universities.
You may be invited along to a workshop run by volunteer tutors from Durham University. They will be able to share their knowledge of university life with you!
Our very popular Chess Club is held weekly in the library and is hosted by pupils and our school librarian. It is great fun, and pupils have even attended local tournaments!
If you are keen to have a go at adventures such as outdoor climbing, caving, overnight camping, scrambling, walking or bushcraft this club could be for you!
Each term, a new timetable of sporting activities is open to pupils. If you’re keen, why not get involved in rugby, gymnastics, football or climbing?
