Y11 roll up their sleeves
The Year 11 Volunteering group have been rolling up their sleeves each Friday afternoon and heading off to St Joseph’s Parish in Birtley. They have been welcomed by Deacon Lavery, who explained the need for volunteers and good old fashioned hard work to keep the parish going. Whilst there, the students have worked extremely hard within small teams on a variety of gardening chores. All have been made very welcome and treated to refreshments at the end of each shift. They have smiled throughout and have been an absolute credit to themselves and the school.
