Sixth Form Caving Trip

Sixth form students recently took on the challenge of tackling an adventurous caving trip. The trip to Alum Pot included abseiling down the “dolly tubs pitches” landing at the “window” which looks down into Alum Pot. This is a challenging trip both physically and psychologically and whilst we had absolute confidence in the very capable group of students involved, the group exceeded all expectations in terms of their willingness to challenge themselves and their physical determination when climbing the caving ladders back up the vertical sections of the cave. All involved had a great experience.

As year 13 students prepare themselves to face the challenges of their A-level examinations and look to the next chapter of their lives, we hope experiences such as this serve to strengthen their resolve to take on difficult and unfamiliar challenges and give them the confidence to step boldly into their futures.
