Introduction
We are absolutely delighted with our GCSE results – which are testimony to the amazing hard work and talents of our students and the dedication of our staff.
A remarkable 38% of results were the highest grades, 7 and above, well above the national average. and even exceeding the higher results awarded by schools last year. Twice as many results as nationally were the very top grade of a 9. 10 of our students received 8 or more grade 9s with 3 students achieving an amazing set of 10 grade 9s.
We are extremely proud of our Year 11 students receiving their GCSE results today. Despite the challenges they have faced throughout Key Stage 4, with much interruption to their learning, they are being duly rewarded with a stunning set of results. It is excellent to see so many students receiving the top grades today, with almost half of them at 9 to 7/A*-A. They have faced the return to normal examinations this year with maturity and resilience and I wish them all the very best of luck as they move onto their next steps.
