Sixth Form students at Cardinal Hume Catholic School have received another set of excellent results this year, continuing the school’s tradition of exceptional academic performance.

More than half of all A Level results were graded at A*, A or B, with plethora of standout performances – it was a delight to see such a high number of students achieving the top grades of A* to A across their subjects. Moreover, in vocational qualifications, attainment is exceptionally strong with an average grade of Distinction* for Technical Awards and Distinction+ in applied general qualifications.

Headteacher Mr Robson commented, “I am delighted that our brilliant students are now able to progress to the next stage of their studies or employment – testament to their talent, hard work and dedication throughout their studies. I am very proud to see such high numbers going on to top universities, degree apprenticeships and meaningful employment.”

There were many happy faces in the school on results day, with every student successfully gaining university places or securing top degree apprenticeships. Among them were Filip who achieved A* across his A Level subjects, as he prepares for his degree apprenticeship and Maebh who will continue her studies at Cambridge University. Oliver and Aaron also got top grades across the board, securing their places to study medicine Liverpool and Newcastle, respectively.

Mr Robson summed up, “This group of young people have been justly rewarded today – I wish them every success in their future endeavours. They are a credit to their families and to our school.”
