Dear Parents and Carers,

In order to minimise the number of contacts and risk of coronavirus transmission, Sixth Form students
may opt to study from home on Friday 18th December. However, any sixth formers wishing to make
use of study areas in school are welcome to do so and should observe the usual arrangements for
distancing and minimising contact.

Arrangements for other year groups are unchanged. Years 7 to 11 will finish term at 12.45p.m. on
Friday 18th December. Return to school is on Monday 4th January for all year groups.

Please note that this is a change in arrangements for Sixth Form students from the letter published on
the school website on Friday 11th December. Please refer to this letter for full information about
arrangements for the end of term, including information on action to take to inform school if your
child develops coronavirus symptoms and contact tracing.

I would like to recognise again the way all our students have adapted to the challenging circumstances
over the past two terms and have continued to apply themselves to their studies. The calm and
purposeful atmosphere in school is the result of their sensible attitude.
As a result, I am confident that whatever future challenges may occur, our students will be well placed
to achieve the very best outcomes.

Finally, I wish all our students and families a safe Christmas.

Yours faithfully

B Robson
Headteacher
