GCE Applied Art and Design
Subject Information
This is a vocational work related course designed for those students who have a broad interest in art and design and wish to develop their artistic skills through assignments and projects based on realistic workplace situations. You will enjoy this course if you like working within a range of art and design disciplines such as Fine Art, Graphic Design and 3D Ceramics.

| Assessment There are no written exams. You will submit a portfolio of work that you have done over the year. You will also be required to complete a practical exam. All of your work will be assessed by your art teachers and then by an external moderator. |

OPPORTUNITIES
The GCE in Applied Art and Design qualifies for UCAS points. Many students go on to either a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design or direct entry onto a Degree Course.
