Mathematics
SUBJECT INFORMATION
AS Mathematicians in Y12 follows a course designed to give a grounding in the core disciplines of the subject : Probability + Statistics, Algebra and Trigonometry. You are also introduced to Calculus, which is of fundamental importance in this subject and in the physical sciences.
A2 Mathematicians in Y13 pursue the core disciplines further but add to this the application of the subject to real life logistical problems in Decision and Discrete Maths.

OPPORTUNITIES
A level mathematics is essential for any numerate discipline at University: eg. Physical Sciences, Engineering, Accountancy, Medicine. It is also well regarded as training for the mind by employers.
