Further Mathematics

SUBJECT INFORMATION

Further Maths is studied alongside Maths A Level by those students wishing to study Maths, Physics or Engineering at University.

YEAR 12
Further Mathematicians are introduced to mechanics as well as the study of complex numbers and series, which besides being of interest in their own right, refine and illuminate the AS level course.

YEAR 13
A2 Further Mathematics explore some of the ideas normally reserved for university study such as; curvature, multi-variable calculus and circular motion.

OPPORTUNITIES

Further Mathematics is a subject tailored to suit the needs of people who are hoping to study Mathematics to a high level. It is a course which will only be offered to the most able students.
