Secretary of State for Education, Damian Hinds, visited Cardinal Hume on Monday 8th October. The school was used as a base for a round table meeting, in which Mr. Hinds announced £24 million of additional funding for secondary schools in the North East of England. He spent time touring the school, meeting with staff and pupils and visiting lessons. As always, all members of our community were a credit to the school.
