PG Letter

Dear parent / guardian,

Today, we visited Cardinal Hume to offer your young person the opportunity to take part in National Citizen Service (NCS) this autumn.

During the autumn half-term, their NCS journey will begin with four days, three nights of outdoor adventure in the Scottish Borders, Lake District or Yorkshire Dales. The residential is jam-packed with exhilarating activities that will make teens feel unstoppable.

When they return home they’ll spend time developing new skills ready for work and life before they put everything they’ve learnt into action. Together with their team, they’ll create a project that makes a difference in the local community.

At a celebration party, teens will be also be awarded with a certificate signed by the Prime Minister. The NCS experience can really help them stand out.

NCS is the country’s fastest growing youth movement. It’s a government-backed programme created to enrich, challenge and empower all young people.

Why should young people participate in NCS? Not only does it provide them with the opportunity to make friends, go outside of their comfort zones and gain an understanding of the communities around them it also looks amazing on CVs and UCAS applications.

Places on NCS will never cost more than £50; this includes all activities, travel, accommodation and food during phase one, two and the celebration event. The price of NCS is further reduced if you are in receipt of free school meals.

Complete their application online at NCSYES.co.uk using the discount code ‘NCS35!’ and secure their place on the programme for £35.*

If you have any questions about NCS, our local team are available on 0191 247 4020.

Kind regards,

Chris Byrne
